Lots of fun things goin’ on in February and not minor among them is the best sports day of the year, the opening of the NASCAR race season with the Daytona 500! Who needs the superbowl when we got 43 cars running 190 mph side by side for 200 laps on a high banked oval track? Now that’s non-stop excitement… 🤠 We’ll have happy hour specials all race long, drinks and dogs, chips and beer, speed and strategy, all that and boozy ice cream too make for a real fun day this Sunday afternoon starting at 1:00 PM!

Valentines Day is comin’ up soon and we have a crafty cocktail menu just for the occasion! Zoom on in there and take a look see… 🧐 There’s a little somethin’ for everyone and their sweetheart too, stop on by and give one a try! I’m particularly fond of the El Diablo; tequila and dark berry create a wonderful flavor together that’s right up my alley with the ginger beer adding a nice touch of spice!

Kinda cloudy today and there are even a few showers passin’ by, the chance increases as the day progresses. Highs in the mid 70’s with cooler drier air filtering in for tomorrow. Nice days Wednesday and Thursday but we’re gonna need the no-rain vibes for the weekend as rain threatens once again. Friday night live features Morgan Hawkins Music and we sure don’t want the weather to interfere with that!

Now we’re talkin’ y’all; the big game has come and gone but the great American race is up next and for those of us who really dig the NASCAR scene, it doesn’t get much bigger that the opening races of the 2026 season at Daytona Beach culminating in the Daytona 500 on Sunday! I am psyched and if you are too let’s watch it together on the big screen at the Barlor beginning at 1:00. The late great Dale Earnhardt was very special to me back in the day and watching those drivers wind those racecars up to their limits in a foot to the floor mad dash to the checkered flag gets my blood a-pumpin’! We’re gonna turn it on and turn it up loud with happy hour specials, beer, dogs, chips and brats all race long… 😎

What a great weekend it was! The beautiful weather brought nearly everyone back outside and that same weather continues today too! Lots of sun with a high of 80 degrees dropping gently to an overnight low around 60 or so. Chance of showers Tuesday evening clearing up for karaoke night on Wednesday. Your Sunday sundae today features one of our delicious breakfast treats from the big day yesterday. Blueberry vodka infused “Blueberry Muffins” ice cream on top of a warm Belgian waffle topped with maple syrup, chopped walnuts, blueberry arabeschi, bourbon vanilla whipped cream and a cherry as always for good luck… 🍒

Sunday scripture: Acts 8:37 KJB… “And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

This statement is the key belief national Israel needed to move into the Kingdom long promised them. We see here an Ethiopian eunuch literally state the exact words required; “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God” and these words are missing from nearly every “Bible” in print, save for the King James. The excuse is typically, “in the oldest and best manuscripts these words are not present”. On the contrary and in my opinion, “bibles” other than the KJB are systematically denying the Deity of Christ intentionally as a tool to eventually welcome a “world religion” with “many paths” to God in heaven.

John 14:6 KJB… “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Back to our story.

Acts 8:38 KJB… “And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.”

Following Peter’s instructions in Acts 2:38, Philip baptizes the man and what happens next is downright extraordinary.

Acts 8:39 KJB… “And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.”

God the Holy Spirit “caught away” Philip in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye and dropped him off in Azotus where he continued to preach the name of Christ, until he came to Caesarea; and there does Philip remain till we see one single mention of him again in Acts 21:8.

Happy Friday everyone, we made it through another week and this time without any frozen precipitation! It’s a beautiful day today and tonight’s gonna be mighty fine as well with your favorite classic country tunes and more played live by our good buddy Russ Lowry! This Saturday is one of our favorite days, it’s National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day and we’re opening early at 9:00 AM so y’all can take full advantage! We’ll be serving treats like this Belgian Waffle Sundae featuring our breakfast themed, maple bourbon infused “Frenchly Toasted” ice cream (non-alcoholic version available too!). Remembering our early days, we’ll be partnering with Parlor Doughnuts to bring all sorts of scrumptious sweetness to your Saturday! ICE CREAM, it’s the breakfast of champions, at least for a day… 😆

Beautiful weather from now till well into next week with lots of sun and highs in the 70’s. Friday’s lookin’ fine for live music, but we have a change of plans. Our good buddy Russ Lowry is steppin’ in where Brad Davis had to step away, thank you Russ! I’ll ask for prayers for Brads wife Rashelle as she required serious emergency surgery yesterday and is now in hospital recovering. These are some of the finest people I’ve ever known and I lift them both up in the all sufficient grace and name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Recover quickly Rashelle!

It’s a lovely lookin’ Thursday, the perfect kind of day to get a bit of a jump start on the weekend.
